Cancer is distressing

Emotional support shouldn't be a burden — or an afterthought.

Our low-lift JSwitch tools help lighten your emotional load and steady you when you’re facing cancer.

We've been there

We know how scary cancer is — and how exhausting it can be.

JSwitch tools are there to steady you in the moments that hit hardest — and all the ones in between.

Tools patients trust when distress hits.

And tools we trust with our own family.

Because moments like this happen every day.

“During an IV stick at the hospital for my CT scan, the nurse couldn’t find my vein and hit an artery on her third try.

Oh my God — it hurt so much. It took five tries to get my IV in.

Thank God I had the tools I needed to help me stay calm and breathe through the pain.

Learning how to control my emotions has made moments like this more manageable.

I wish I had these tools when I was first diagnosed years ago.”

— Joan (“Joni”), stage 4 ovarian cancer patient since July 2023 and our namesake

Hiya, I'm Ashley — founder of Joni.

I'm a former physical therapist and young adult breast cancer survivor. Joni is named after my mom.

I know what it's like to hear, "You have cancer" at 36 — and live with the emotional fallout.

After my diagnosis, my mind never stopped spinning. I replayed scenario after scenario day and night and barely slept for weeks.

Ten years later, I watched my parents face their own stage 4 cancer diagnoses — first my dad with esophageal cancer, then my mom with ovarian cancer.

I founded Joni because emotional support shouldn't be a burden — or an afterthought — when you're facing cancer. With JSwitch, it won't.

Patients, survivors, and their caregivers deserve relief — support that actually lightens their load and feels like one less thing, not one more.

That’s why we create low-lift tools inspired by science and lived experience — the tools my family turns to today, and the ones I wish we’d had sooner.

Quality of life matters. So does having what you need to feel steadier when distress hits.

For me, that includes finding reasons to laugh — even on the hardest days.

What we hear from patients, survivors, caregivers — and the people who love them.

"This is powerful and will touch many. I'm going to work on getting your tools out there. I love what you're doing."

Toni, Three-Time Cancer Survivor

"I'm proudly wearing my new piece! I don’t think I'll take it off! It’s a reminder to do all the hard things to keep my peace."

Janis, Friend of Joni

"What you’re doing is really important. There is enough valuable material here to make a difference for a lot of people."

Evan, Cancer Survivor

"OMG! I'm loving it!
I want to be a part of this."

Brie, Young Adult Breast Cancer Survivor
